The Office of Disability Adjudication and Review is also referred to as The Hearing Office. Claimants who are not satisfied with the Reconsideration appeal determination can file a second appeal. This second appeal is called a Request for Hearing by Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) or RFHALJ. The ALJ makes a decision, usually after holding a hearing and reviewing any additional evidence from the information obtained from the claimant and other sources.
